Experienced consultant with total professional experience of 32+ years in India & SE Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe and has experience of working with leading international development organizations e.g. The World Bank, WHO, UNDP etc. and successfully delivering
results in difficult situations e.g. Covid-19, Ebola response and Yemen crisis etc. He has master degree in Social and Preventive Medicine from All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Heath, Kolkata and an international diploma in OSH and Development from National Institute for Working Life, Sweden. He is a Lead Assessor for OHSAS 18001, EMS and HACCP systems and has qualifications in Healthcare waste management, Malariology, Climate change and health, OSH Management in SMEs etc.

Recent associations

  • WHO, Geneva, Switzerland for technical support during Covid-19 pandemic response on workplace occupational health and safety for WHO member countries across the globe. He provided technical support for development of guidance for Covid-19 management in healthcare facilities and other workplaces and developed training module for occupational health of National rapid Response teams in the countries.

  • World Bank as Consultant for environmental safeguards development and implementation in Meghalaya and Mizoram Health System Strengthening Projects in India.

  • Technical specialist- Health and safety with Social and Environmental Panel of experts of World Bank funded West Africa Power Pool Project of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

  • Consultant with the Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Kuwait, on the project “Strengthening capacity for protection of Occupational Health and Safety of healthcare workers and non-health care workers during COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.”

  • Member of Independent Redress Mechanism of the Green Climate Fund as Public Health Specialist
